Glasgow City Archives Senior Archivist Irene O'Brien will present on the wealth of information that can be gleaned from records associated with a death - death registration, monumental inscriptions, cemetery & internment ledgers, funeral home records and records of the Merchants House who owned the Glasgow Necropolis



Genealogist Emma Maxwell, co-founder of Scottishindexes, will give two presentations this year. The one presentation will be on Asylum records and the other will be on Prison records and Emma will show you how using these records can add to the story and social history of your Scottish ancestor




Former NRS archivist Margaret Fox will present on the wealth of genealogical information that can be gleaned from Scottish Wills and Testaments allowing you to better understand the lives of your Scottish ancestors.



Dr Stephen Mullen, of the University of Glasgow, will give a presentation on the economic and social impact of Caribbean slavery on Glasgow and Scotland




Aoife O'Connor from Findmypast will show us how using the British Newspaper Archives can enhance our research into the lives of our Scottish ancestors.



Genealogy educator, Christine Woodcock will present on Scots who emigrated to Canada in her talk, Canada: Land and Opportunity
